In the neighborhood of the old port of Harburg, where there used to be ships and cranes, today high tech companies like SLS MICRO TECHNOLOGY develop and manufacture technical innovations that will open up new markets and significantly change existing ones.
Beginning
SLS was found by scientists of the Technical University Hamburg-Harburg. Starting point was the severe interest from industrial enterprises to transfer the results of the latest university research in applying micro system technology (MST/MEMS) on the analysis of chemical species into marketable solutions.
Growth
To assure the long term financing of product development, the setup of production facilities and the entry into the market the shareholder structure was expanded in 2001. Since then the company operates under the name SLS Micro Technology GmbH.
Perspective
